RJ Kesari News Desk: The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has been launched globally as a new flagship smartwatch. The wearable was unveiled to customers during the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. 

Samsung's new smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset, marking a departure from the company's lineup of Exynos SoCs. The watch will replace the company's Galaxy Watch Ultra, which was launched in India and global markets in July 2024.

This latest smartwatch from Samsung is available in a single 47mm size in Titanium Silver and Titanium Grey colours, priced at $700 (approximately Rs 69,999).

This new Samsung smartwatch comes with OneUI 9 Watch, which is based on Wear OS 7. It is compatible with devices running Android 13 and later. The watch comes with over 1.5GB of RAM. 

The company claims that it comes with IP69K (dust and water resistance), 10ATM, and MIL-STD-810H durability ratings. 

The smartwatch features a BioActive sensor that enables continuous health and fitness tracking thanks to biometric data, which is then converted into proactive recommendations.

Additionally, the watch features a sleep apnea feature that detects breathing problems during sleep. 

The list of onboard sensors includes a bio-signal sensor, an electrical heart sensor, a temperature sensor, an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, and a light sensor. For health tracking, the watch comes with heart rate monitoring, blood-oxygen level tracking, and sleep tracking.

Speaking of the display, the watch features a 1.52-inch Super AMOLED display with up to 5000 nits of peak brightness, an always-on display, and sapphire crystal protection. Powered by Qualcomm's penta-core Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, it packs 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The watch is backed by an 800mAh battery that supports WPC-based wireless charging. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.0, LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS.
