Poco's new 5G phone launched, with a 7,900mAh battery and 120Hz display attracting attention
The Poco M8x 5G is priced starting at ₹20,999 in India. It features a 7,900mAh battery, 45W charging, a 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, and a 50MP camera.
RJ Kesari News Desk: Poco has launched its new Poco M8x 5G smartphone in the Indian market. This is the third model in the company's M8 series.
Previously, the Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Power were launched. The new phone's biggest highlight is its large 7,900mAh battery. Additionally, the phone features a Snapdragon processor, a 120Hz display, and a 50MP camera.
Poco M8x 5G Price and Sale
The Poco M8x 5G is priced at ₹20,999 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant will be available for ₹22,999. The company is also offering customers a ₹2,000 discount as part of a bank offer. The phone will go on sale via Flipkart starting August 27th at 12 noon.
The smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, and Leather Green colors. The Leather Green model features a vegan leather finish on the back, giving the phone a slightly different look than other models.
Big screen with 120Hz display
The Poco M8x 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
This means scrolling and animations appear smoother than before. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen. The phone also features Wet Touch 2.0, which allows you to use the screen with wet or damp fingers.
Additionally, the display has received TUV Rheinland's Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly, and Flicker-Free certifications. The phone also has an IP64 rating, meaning it's somewhat protected from dust and water splashes.
Snapdragon processor and 6GB RAM
The Poco M8x 5G is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 octa-core chipset, built on a 4nm process. The company claims that this processor can make apps launch up to 43 percent faster.
According to the company, the phone achieved a score of over 650,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark. It features up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
On the software front, the phone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The company has promised four OS updates and six years of security updates.
50MP camera and 7,900mAh battery
For photography, the phone features a dual camera setup on the back. This includes a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera.
An 8MP front camera is available for selfies and video calls. The phone can record video up to 1080p. The most notable feature is its 7,900mAh battery. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
