Oppo K14, Oppo K14x and Oppo A6s get more expensive, price hiked by up to Rs 4,000

RJ Kesari News Desk: Oppo has quietly increased the prices of several mid-range smartphones. The prices of the Oppo K14, Oppo K14x, and Oppo A6s have been revised, with all RAM and storage variants of these smartphones becoming more expensive, with prices increasing by up to ₹4,000. Rising component costs and a shortage of memory chips are believed to be the reasons for the price hike.
Which phone became more expensive?
The Oppo K14 is priced at ₹21,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, down from ₹19,999. The 6GB RAM and 256GB variant is priced at ₹24,999, down from ₹21,999. The 8GB RAM and 256GB variant will now be available for ₹27,999, down from ₹23,999.
The price of all variants of the Oppo K14x has increased by ₹1,000. The 4GB RAM and 64GB variant will be sold for ₹16,999 instead of ₹15,999.
The 4GB RAM and 128GB variant will now be sold for ₹18,999 (launch price ₹17,999), and the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant will now be sold for ₹209,999 (launch price ₹19,999).
Additionally, the price of the Oppo A6s has also been increased. The 4GB RAM and 128GB variant will now sell for ₹21,999 instead of ₹20,999. The 6GB RAM and 128GB variant will sell for ₹24,999 instead of ₹22,999. The increased price is now reflected on the Oppo India website.
Oppo hasn't provided a reason for this new price change. It could be related to rising component costs and a global memory chip shortage. According to a circular shared by Oppo with its retail partners, this price change will take effect on July 20th.
The Oppo K14, Oppo K14x, and Oppo A6s are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor for speed and multitasking. All models feature 6.75-inch displays and dual rear camera setups, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
