HMD launches new phone with Nokia Lumia-like design and AI features, priced at Rs 6,700

The phone operates on the Doubao AI model and offers features like translation, story, photo, and image generation. It also offers 4G, Wi-Fi, mobile payments, and an SOS button.
HMD Touch AI: Price and design
According to ITHome, the HMD Touch AI is priced at 469 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 6,700) in China and is currently available for pre-order.
The phone is offered in a cyan color inspired by the Nokia Lumia series. HMD will also sell interchangeable rear covers in yellow, blue, and white, allowing users to customize the phone's look.
Features like AI and touchscreen
According to ITHome, the HMD Touch AI features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. The phone is based on the Doubao AI model and features six AI assistants. Users can interact with it, listen to stories, get answers to questions, translate, learn languages, and understand homework.
It can also create AI artwork from text. The phone's operating system doesn't support third-party app downloads or short video apps. It also offers features like parental controls, an MP3 player, a calendar, an alarm, a calculator, and a Snake game.
How is the camera
According to the report, the phone has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a front camera. The camera supports features like AI image recognition, AI image generation, and the ability to convert photos into animations, comics, or traditional Chinese painting styles.
HMD Touch AI: Battery and Connectivity
The phone also comes with a 1,950 mAh battery, mobile payment support, and a customizable top button that can be used as an SOS button if needed.
The phone will also come in the box with a battery, USB Type-C cable, transparent cover, SIM eject tool, quick start guide, and warranty card. Connectivity options include dual 4G, dual nano SIM, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, hotspot sharing, and a USB Type-C port.
