RJ Kesari News Desk: Google has launched its new Pixel 11 series in India, which includes the standard Pixel 11. This phone directly competes with Apple's iPhone 17. Both smartphones feature a 6.3-inch display, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. 

However, there are significant differences between the two phones in terms of camera, processor, AI features, battery, and software. In terms of price, the iPhone 17 starts at a lower price than the Pixel 11. Let's find out which of the two phones you should buy.

Both are equal in display

The Google Pixel 11 and iPhone 17 are quite close in terms of display. The Pixel 11 features a 6.3-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. 

The iPhone 17 also features a 6.3-inch display and, for the first time, 

features Apple's ProMotion technology with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Its peak brightness is also up to 3,000 nits. This means that both phones are almost on par in terms of display.

Pixel 11 is ahead in camera

The camera setup is a major difference between the two phones. The Pixel 11 features three rear cameras, including a 48-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto camera. 

The iPhone 17, meanwhile, features a 48-megapixel dual camera setup with 1x and 1x shooting options. For selfies, the iPhone 17 features an 18-megapixel front camera sensor.

Tensor G6 vs A19: Chip

For performance, the Pixel 11 features Google's new Tensor G6 processor. Google claims this phone can deliver up to 15 percent faster app loading and improved on-device AI performance, while also consuming less power. 

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 features Apple's A19 processor, built on a 3-nanometer process. It features a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. This means both phones come with different processors and software technologies.

Who has the edge in AI and software?

Google has added several Gemini-based AI features to the Pixel 11. These include proactive assistance, Gboard Rambler, and an improved At a Glance feature. The phone can also use Gemini to call businesses and assist with bookings and orders. 

Additionally, the Magic Capture feature can select better HDR photos and videos from multiple frames. 

The Pixel 11 runs on Android 17 and will receive seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. The iPhone 17 runs on iOS 26 and includes AI features like Center Stage for the front camera.

Who is ahead in battery and price?

The Pixel 11 features a 4,985mAh battery. It supports 30W wired charging and up to 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging. Apple, on the other hand, hasn't revealed the exact battery capacity of the iPhone 17 in mAh. 

However, several media reports have indicated a battery capacity between 3,149mAh and 3,692mAh. In India, the Pixel 11's 256GB model is priced at ₹89,999, while the iPhone 17's 256GB model starts at ₹82,900. This means the iPhone 17 is cheaper in terms of starting price.
