Oil companies are under immense pressure as global crude oil prices surpassed $111. However, after two consecutive increases in the past week, petrol and diesel prices remained stable on Wednesday. According to the new rate list released at 6 am, petrol remained at ₹98.64 per liter in Delhi and ₹107.59 per liter in Mumbai.
New petrol and diesel rates were announced across the country on Wednesday, May 20th. Oil companies update the latest prices at 6 am every day. Today, the public receives some relief as there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel. This means that oil prices remain stable for the time being.
However, two price hikes over the past week have certainly impacted the pockets of ordinary people. Consequently, it's crucial for drivers to check the latest rates in their city before leaving home.
In major cities, petrol remains at ₹98.64 per liter in Delhi and diesel at ₹91.58 per liter. In cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida, and Gurugram, the old rates apply. This means neither petrol nor diesel prices have increased today.
