RJ Kesari News Desk: The highly ambitious project to upgrade the route from Lakshmi Bai Chowk to Town Park into a high-capacity six-lane corridor has successfully cleared all its bureaucratic hurdles.

Following the receipt of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from all intersecting government bodies, the Public Works Department (PWD) has officially secured an administrative approval of Rs 3,008.56 lakh for the hisar road infrastructure development 2026 roadmap. Special High-Level Committee Push for a Jam-Free Hisar

This major development update was disclosed by Cabinet Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa during the fifth review meeting of the special high-level committee constituted by the state government to deliver a hisar jam free project routes framework. Presiding over the executive session, the Cabinet Minister issued explicit orders to administrative officers, emphasizing that the state's ultimate goal is to reshape Hisar into a highly modernized urban space equipped with seamless traffic grids. He mandated that physical construction must begin before the next review meeting for all sub-projects where tenders have already been finalized.

Tenders Floated for Major Intersections and Slip Roads

To significantly bring down heavy traffic congestion across prime commercial and administrative zones, the committee reviewed several micro-projects currently moving through the pipeline:

  • Dabra Chowk Junction & Rajgarh Road: The redevelopment tender for the critical Dabra Chowk Junction has been floated and will be allotted soon. Similarly, a specialized tender is out to construct radial slip roads encompassing all four sides of the Rajgarh Road Chowk situated right outside the Mini Secretariat.

  • Guru Jambheshwar University Gate: Plans to set up a streamlined roundabout (chowk) and dedicated slip lanes extending past the City Gate of GJU are moving ahead rapidly.

  • Tulsi Chowk & Susheela Bhawan: All physical bottlenecks blocking the construction of a slip road at Tulsi Chowk have been cleared. Meanwhile, active construction has already commenced on the slip lane running parallel to the Government Senior Secondary School near Susheela Bhawan.

Major Structural Overhauls: Foot-Over Bridges and Underpasses

The haryana pwd administrative approval hisar blueprints also feature heavy engineering overhauls to smooth out long-distance transit. The evaluation panel confirmed that the tender to dismantle the existing bottlenecking foot-over bridge in front of the main bus stand has been opened, and the structure will be removed shortly.

Furthermore, Indian Railways officials delivered an advanced presentation concerning the total reconstruction of the old bridge originating from Bikaner Chowk, alongside the creation of a dedicated underpass targeting the Red Square Market. Cabinet Minister Gangwa instructed the railway engineering division to submit a comprehensive 3D visual presentation of the complete ecosystem in the next sit-down.

Widening Key Highways and Highway Connectivity Patches

To expand the city's perimeter connectivity, tenders have already been issued to construct a new bridging structure over the Balsamand Distributary and to widen the arterial road linking Balsamand to the Southern Bypass. The cabinet minister ranbir gangwa meeting also scrutinized progress reports on:

  1. Building optimized traffic rotaries at Jindal Chowk and the 9/11 intersection.

  2. Upgrading the high-traffic corridor from Sirsa Road leading up to the Civil Hospital into a full-fledged six-lane highway.

  3. Widening the bypass route extracted from the back section of the Bus Stand up to the local Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).

Additionally, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been formally directed to fast-track the execution files for constructing flagship flyovers at the main entry points of Hisar coming from the Sirsa and Delhi check-posts. Administrative sanctions have also been locked in for building an underpass at the Sector 27 entry point, establishing a rotary at the Tosham Road ITI intersection, and deploying parallel service lanes from Mirzapur Chowk extending to Global Space.
