Rajasthan Weather Alert: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Likely Across Several Districts

Weather conditions across Rajasthan are expected to remain highly active as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for Jaipur and multiple districts. The warning comes amid forecasts of intense thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, lightning activity, and strong gusty winds over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Several parts of eastern and northeastern Rajasthan have already witnessed changing weather conditions, with cloudy skies and scattered rainfall bringing relief from the scorching summer temperatures. Meteorologists expect rainfall intensity to increase further as moisture from advancing monsoon systems interacts with local weather disturbances.

According to weather experts, wind speeds may reach up to 60-80 kmph during thunderstorm activity in isolated areas. Such conditions could lead to temporary disruptions in transportation, power supply interruptions, and reduced visibility on roads.

Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Karauli, and surrounding districts are among the regions likely to experience the strongest weather activity. Residents have been advised to remain indoors during severe thunderstorms and avoid open spaces during lightning events.

Agricultural communities across Rajasthan have welcomed the rainfall forecast, as pre-monsoon showers can improve soil moisture and support preparations for the upcoming kharif crop season.

The IMD has urged citizens to stay updated through official weather bulletins and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of intense weather activity.
