RJ Kesari Business Desk: Petrol-Diesel Price Today: Public sector oil marketing companies have released the latest petrol and diesel prices for Thursday, 2 July 2026, at 6:00 AM. Despite fluctuations in the global crude oil market over the past few weeks, fuel prices across India remain unchanged, offering no immediate relief to consumers.

Although international crude oil prices witnessed a decline last month, domestic retail fuel prices have continued to stay at the same levels.

No Change in Fuel Prices Despite Falling Crude Oil

Global crude oil prices have remained volatile due to changing geopolitical and market conditions. While international benchmark prices eased during recent weeks, Indian oil marketing companies have not revised petrol and diesel prices.

As a result, motorists across the country continue to pay the same rates as in previous days.

Fuel Prices Were Revised Four Times in May

Petrol and diesel prices saw multiple hikes during May 2026, significantly increasing fuel costs nationwide.

The revisions were as follows:

• 15 May 2026: Petrol increased by ₹3.00/litre, Diesel by ₹3.29/litre
• 19 May 2026: Petrol increased by ₹0.87/litre, Diesel by ₹0.91/litre
• 23 May 2026: Petrol increased by ₹0.87/litre, Diesel by ₹0.91/litre
• 25 May 2026: Petrol increased by ₹2.61/litre, Diesel by ₹2.71/litre

Since then, fuel prices have remained unchanged despite movements in the international oil market.
