Now your phone will do the work itself! Google's new AI agent will change the way you use your mobile
Google introduced Gemini Intelligence at "The Android Show 2026" event. Google stated that Gemini Intelligence will transform Android into more than just an operating system, but an "intelligent system." Importantly, in countries like India, where most smartphones run on Android, this technology could rapidly expand the use of AI.
Gemini Intelligence: Google has introduced an AI system for Android users that could completely change the way we use smartphones. The company has launched a new AI agent-based system called "Gemini Intelligence,"
which can understand a user's screen, navigate different apps to complete tasks on its own, and perform multiple tasks without having to constantly switch apps. Google claims that this isn't just a chatbot, but a smart AI system that can understand user needs and automatically respond to them. Let's explore its features...
Your phone will do many tasks on its own
According to Google, Gemini Intelligence will be able to complete tasks on the user's behalf within apps. For example, if a user is planning a barbecue party, they can ask Gemini to create a menu by viewing the guest list and add the necessary items to an online cart.
Similarly, Gemini can search for a class syllabus from Gmail and add the required books to an online cart.
The company said that this feature will currently be launched on devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10 and will later expand to other Android devices, smartwatches, cars, and laptops. Google says that the AI agent will definitely seek the user's permission before completing every transaction.
You will understand what to do by looking at the screen.
The biggest change in Gemini Intelligence is its multimodal capabilities. Users will now be less likely to need to copy and paste text or switch apps. For example, if a grocery list is saved in the Notes app, they can simply activate Gemini by pressing the power button, and the AI will automatically create an online shopping cart.
Furthermore, the new "Rambler" feature will convert voice into clear text messages, removing unnecessary words like "Hmmm" or "Ahh." Significantly, it will support multiple languages, including Hindi. Google says that user audio data will not be saved.
Features like custom widgets and smart autofill will also be available
Google is also introducing several new smart features with Gemini Intelligence. Users will now be able to create custom home screen widgets simply by speaking. For example, a user can create a dashboard with high-protein recipes, while cyclists can create a weather widget with only wind and rainfall information.
Additionally, a new Autofill feature will automatically fill out forms by pulling relevant information from various apps. This feature will work across multiple apps, including Google Chrome.
The company has clarified that this will be completely optional, and users will be able to turn it on or off. Google has also announced a redesign of Android Auto with Gemini, allowing AI to assist while driving.
The AI war between Google and Apple will escalate.
Gemini Intelligence is considered a major strategy for Google in the AI world. Reports suggest that Apple will soon unveil a new Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2026, likely using the Gemini model.
