Huawei Nova 16s Pro phone introduced with 200MP quad camera, 7000mAh battery and 100W charging will also be available

RJ Kesari News Desk: Huawei has introduced its new Nova 16s series globally. The company has introduced two phones in this series: the Huawei Nova 16s and the Huawei Nova 16s Pro. 

Both models feature screens with up to 120Hz refresh rates and a large 7000mAh battery. The Pro model features a 200MP camera and 100W fast charging to make it unique. Let's take a closer look at the Huawei Nova 16s Pro's unique features.

Huawei Nova 16s Pro price and colors

The Huawei Nova 16s Pro has been launched globally. The phone has also been introduced in Germany, 

but the company has not yet officially shared its price. On the company's official website, the smartphone is available in Isle Blue, Breathing Crystal, and Starry Black colors.

Large and bright OLED screen

The Nova 16s Pro features a 6.84-inch Ultra Bright OLED display. Its screen resolution is FHD+, or 2856 × 1320 pixels. The phone's screen can adjust the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. 

It features a 2.5D flat screen and very thin bezels. The screen's peak brightness reaches 6000 nits, making it easier to view content even in bright light. 

The phone also features AI HDR and 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Huawei claims this feature provides more eye comfort when using the screen in low light.

Kirin 9010S chip and up to 512GB of storage

For performance, the phone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 9010S chipset. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 16-based EMUI 16 out of the box. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB. The phone also features AI gestures.

Special cooling system to prevent overheating

It's common for phones to overheat after prolonged gaming or other heavy tasks. Huawei has incorporated a dedicated cooling system into the Nova 16s Pro to mitigate this issue.

The company has used micrometer-level stainless steel etching technology in the phone. It also features an Ultra-Slim VC frame, which helps dissipate heat generated inside the phone. Huawei says this system helps maintain temperature control even during heavy tasks.

200MP main camera

The camera setup of the Huawei Nova 16s Pro is one of its biggest strengths. The phone features a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor. 

The camera also features optical image stabilization (OIS) and AI image stabilization. It also features a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto camera. This camera supports 3.7x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. It also features OIS and AIS stabilization.

The third camera is a 50MP RYYB ultrawide sensor with a 118-degree field of view. The fourth sensor is a 1.5MP multispectral camera. According to Huawei, it can help improve color reproduction by up to 120%.

Dual camera for selfies too

For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 50MP 1/2.5-inch Ultra Large sensor on the front. Huawei calls it the Ultra Portrait Camera. This camera supports zoom from 0.8x to 5x.

There's also a 1.5MP True-to-Color camera on the front. This works to improve color accuracy at the pixel level. This means the selfie camera setup also has two sensors.

7000mAh battery and 100W fast charging

The phone is powered by a large 7000mAh battery. It supports 100W fast charging for quick charging. This combination of a large battery and fast charging could be useful for those who use their phone frequently.

Connectivity and sound are also strong

Connectivity options on the Huawei Nova 16s Pro include Bluetooth 6.0, BLE, SBC, AAC, LDAC, L2HC, USB Type-C, and USB 2.0. The phone also supports a Type-C earphone jack, NFC, GPS, and GLONASS/BeiDou.

For sound, the company has installed symmetrical dual stereo speakers in the phone. These claim to deliver a 100-degree ultra-wide soundstage, which can improve the audio experience for videos and music.
