Meteorologists believe the change in weather will significantly reduce temperatures while improving overall weather conditions across the region.
Monsoon to Enter Haryana Through Northern Districts
Weather experts say the advancing monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal will first reach Yamunanagar, Ambala, and Panchkula before gradually spreading across the rest of the state.
The monsoon is then expected to move through:
- Karnal
- Kurukshetra
- Panipat
- Delhi-NCR
- Gurugram
- Faridabad
- Palwal
This progression is expected to bring widespread rainfall to both northern and southern parts of Haryana.

According to Dr. Madan Khichar, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, a cyclonic circulation developing over Punjab, combined with active monsoon winds, will trigger a significant change in weather.
From July 2 to July 6, Haryana is likely to experience:
- Light to moderate rainfall across many districts
- Heavy rainfall at isolated locations
- Thunderstorms with lightning
- Strong gusty winds
Residents are advised to remain cautious during periods of intense rainfall and thunderstorms.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall on July 1 in several parts of Haryana, including:
