Haryana Power Supply: Major Relief for Panipat Villages with 24-Hour Uninterrupted Electricity
In a major development for rural electrification in the state, residents of Israna and Matlauda villages in the Panipat district will now enjoy 24-hour uninterrupted power supply.
RJ Kesari News Desk: This significant upgrade is the result of direct intervention and personal efforts by Haryana’s Development and Panchayats Minister, Shri Krishan Lal Panwar.
Following an official high-level review meeting, strict instructions have been issued to revamp the local electricity infrastructure to prevent future outages.
⚡ Switch from Rural to Urban Feeders
Addressing long-standing public grievances, Minister Krishan Lal Panwar held a strategic meeting on Friday with Vikram Singh, the Managing Director of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN).
Key Directive: The Minister ordered the immediate disconnection of the Matlauda and Israna power feeders from the rural grid and directed officials to link them directly to the Urban Feeder network.
Previously, these areas were connected to urban lines but were later shifted to rural feeders, which triggered frequent power cuts and disruptions. With the restoration of the urban feeder connection, the electricity issues faced by the local population have been completely resolved.
🏢 Modernization of Power Infrastructure
Beyond stabilizing the current supply, the state government is also focusing on upgrading the physical infrastructure, which has deteriorated over time:
-
New Buildings: The existing sub-division buildings for both feeders are currently in a dilapidated state. The Executive Engineer (XEN) has been directed to quickly draft cost estimates so that construction tenders can be floated.
-
Smart Upgrades: The upcoming sub-division level buildings will be constructed using modern architectural designs and equipped with state-of-the-art electrical equipment to ensure structural and operational reliability.
🤝 Government Committed to Public Welfare
Reaffirming his dedication to the constituency, Minister Panwar emphasized that his doors are always open to the public. He stated that the primary objective of these swift administrative measures is to ensure that the residents of the Israna constituency do not face any hardships regarding basic amenities like electricity and water.
