Haryana Government Schemes: Huge Financial Benefits Announced for Cow Rearing and Natural Farming
Haryana News: The Haryana government has rolled out massive financial incentives to shift focus from traditional farming to high-value agricultural systems.
RJ Kesari News Desk: Chief Minister Shri Nayib Singh Saini emphasized that a "Developed India by 2047" will take shape directly from rural farmlands.
He highlighted that local farmers must transition from basic producers to global value creators and exporters, unlocking real income growth only when fresh produce from Haryana reaches supermarkets in London, New York, Dubai, and Tokyo.
Chief Minister Inaugurates 33rd Mango Mela in Pinjore
The announcements were made during the inauguration of the three-day 33rd Mango Fair at the historic Yadavindra Gardens in Pinjore, Panchkula.
Accompanied by Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma and Agriculture Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana, the Chief Minister inspected exhibition stalls exhibiting over 200 varieties of mangoes developed by progressive farmers.
The festival functions as a major tribute to farmers' hard work and acts as a celebration of Haryana's agricultural strength.
Technological Interventions in Smart Agriculture
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister noted that technology paired with farmers' experience is the future of smart agriculture. The state is expanding infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI) and modern tech:
-
AI & Soil Analytics: Digital tools are being deployed to map soil health, identify element deficiencies, signal disease markers, and predict market demand.
-
Drone Surveys & Digital Ledger: Drones are currently conducting field surveys, while automated weather alerts hit mobile phones instantly. AI-backed digital accounting portals now help farmers track their precise expenses and earnings on the go.
Huge Incentives for Orchard Plantation and Price Support
As landholdings continue to shrink across the state, the administration is heavily backing horticulture. Under the active haryana government schemes for farmers guidelines, setting up a fresh mango orchard now qualifies for a direct subsidy of Rs 42,000 per acre.
To safeguard farmers against market volatility, mango crops have also been officially brought under the safety net of the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana (Price Deficit Compensation Scheme).
Massive Boost for Natural Farming and Organic Certification
The natural farming subsidy haryana blueprint has received a major financial upgrade to restore soil fertility and cut down initial input costs. Around 2 lakh farmers have registered 3 lakh acres of land for chemical-free farming.
The state has allocated a budget of Rs 30 crore exclusively to fund natural farming projects. In a major move, the state budget has approved a financial package granting haryana financial assistance for organic farming worth Rs 10,000 per acre annually for 5 consecutive years to all APEDA-certified natural and organic cultivators.
Subsidies for Cow Rearing and Input Storage
Indigenous cattle form the core of organic composts like Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit. To encourage livestock management along with crops, the government has introduced the haryana subsidy for cow rearing:
-
Desi Cow Subsidy: The direct cash assistance for maintaining an indigenous cow to produce natural bio-fertilizers has been scaled up to Rs 30,000.
-
Storage Drum Support: Farmers are receiving Rs 3,000 in direct assistance to purchase a set of four raw-material processing and storage drums.
MSP Guarantees and Regional Showcase
Haryana stands as a pioneer in crop procurement, currently buying 24 separate crops strictly at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
Highlighting the scope of the pinjore mango mela 2026, Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma added that premium orchardists from Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh have also displayed their finest produce.
The festival will also feature competitive events, crowning farmers with the prestigious 'Mango Ratna' and 'Mango Kesari' awards.
Agriculture Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana closed by stating that India contributes roughly 40% of the world's total mango production, and urged farmers to downscale chemical pesticide
