Gold Rate Today: Gold and silver prices rise, gold is available at this price from Delhi to Chennai

Gold and silver prices continued to rise across the country. In Delhi, 24-carat gold crossed ₹1.53 lakh per 10 grams, while silver was recorded at ₹2.70 lakh per kg.

Gold and silver prices are steadily rising across the country. According to the latest rates released on the morning of May 8th, gold prices have surged from Delhi to Chennai. Silver prices have also reached new record highs. Rising international prices and strong buying by investors have kept the bullion market bullish.

In the capital, Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has reached ₹1,53,160 per 10 grams, while the price of 22-carat gold was recorded at ₹1,40,410 per 10 grams. Earlier, the price of gold in the Delhi bullion market rose by ₹600, reaching ₹1,56,000 per 10 grams.

Gold Rate in Mumbai-Chennai

Gold prices remained firm in Mumbai and Kolkata, where 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,53,010 per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold at ₹1,40,260 per 10 grams. 

Chennai saw the highest prices for gold, with 24-carat gold reaching ₹1,53,840 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,41,020 per 10 grams. 

Gold prices in Pune and Bengaluru also remained consistent with Mumbai, with 24-carat gold selling for ₹1,53,010 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold selling for ₹1,40,260 per 10 grams.

Silver rates

Not only gold, silver prices are also seeing a sharp rise. On the morning of May 8th, silver prices reached ₹270,100 per kilogram. Earlier, silver prices in the Delhi bullion market jumped ₹7,000 to ₹261,500 per kilogram. 

In January of this year, silver also crossed the ₹400,000 per kilogram mark. In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,734.28 per ounce and spot silver at $81.35 per ounce.
