Aaj Ka Mousam 13 June 2026 update: RJ Kesari News Desk: India's weather pattern has become increasingly active as the southwest monsoon continues its gradual advance across the country.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several states are likely to experience thunderstorms, moderate to heavy rainfall, lightning, and strong winds over the next few days.

Northern India has witnessed a significant change in weather conditions after weeks of intense summer heat. Rain-bearing clouds have brought relief to many regions, while weather experts continue to monitor developing atmospheric systems that could influence rainfall distribution during the coming weeks.

Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and parts of Madhya Pradesh remain under weather alerts due to the possibility of severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. Wind speeds may reach up to 70 kmph in some locations, increasing the risk of localized disruptions.

The monsoon has advanced into additional parts of eastern India, including Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Meteorologists expect further progress during the next several days, supporting increased rainfall activity across central and northern regions.

Experts are also closely watching climate indicators such as El Niño and the Indian Ocean Dipole. These ocean-atmosphere systems can influence the strength and distribution of monsoon rainfall across South Asia.

Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather forecasts and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather events.
